Music Lessons

 We are pleased to offer a range of private music lessons.

We work in partnership with Bristol Beacon, the music education hub, to provide instrumental lessons through the Bristol Beacon Musical Schools Membership scheme.​​

The Bristol Beacon tutors are experienced and highly qualified music educators who teach in schools across Bristol. Many are professional musicians who regularly perform in bands, orchestras, and ensembles. They specialise in delivering dynamic and effective sessions across a range of instruments and use the most current training methods and materials to inspire and engage young musicians. Tutors can also help students to take their learning to the next level with music exam support, out of school ensemble sessions and provide access to opportunities for gifted pupils.​​

The current list of instrumental lessons we offer are:​

Strings: Violin, Viola, Cello and Guitar​

Woodwind: Flute, Clarinet, Recorder​

Brass: Cornet, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone​

Percussion: Piano​

Voice: Start with Singing (Year 2)

Please note, it is recommended that children begin learning an instrument from KS2 (Year 3) upwards.​​

Instruments: Your child will need to have their own instrument to participate in lessons. We run an Instrument Hire scheme which you can read about in more detail here Bristol Beacon Instrument Hire and can add instrument hire to your ‘basket’ when applying for lessons.​​

 Financial Support

​We offer a range of financial support for individuals, including bursaries, discounts and payment plans for those who are eligible. Please following the link for more information: Bristol Beacon Bursaries, Discount & Fees If you think your child may be eligible for financial support, you can ‘apply for a discount/music voucher’ when you have added your selected lesson to your ‘basket’ when applying for lessons.​

EarthSong Programme

We are also an Earthsong School (Brass) and work in partnership with Bristol Beacon and the Earthsong Foundation to provide small group instrumental tuition on Cornet and Trombone to selected pupils in Years 4, 5 and 6 who have begun the 5-Year Earthsong Programme from Year 2.​​
